Transportation
It is getting close and your probably starting to wonder how to get around, where to go and how to get there. Here I am to help you figure all that out. I want to make your time in London as easy as a day in California. Public transport is a must and London is a great place to get comfortable with using it. We're talking tubes, buses, boats and even a private cars plus a few words about rental cars...where driving where left is right and right is just....wrong. I'll also cover getting to your air BnB (taxi is my pick). We will line up a private transfer for getting to the ship.
Airport to Lodging
From LHR to your airbnb should be about 45-60 minutes. If you are flying into LGW it will be a bit longer.
You can pre-book an Uber or catch a classic black cab at the airport. Alternatively we can prebook a transfer here.
Don't try to navigate public transportation with luggage in an unfamiliar city. Everyone can arrive on their own schedule. Expect a bit of that famous cabbie banter - embrace it!
Tell your cabbie 4 Liberty Bridge Rd, East Village, near Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Getting Around
Your airBnB is in a sweet location, good choice. Just a 10 minute walk to Stratford Station - the transport hub of East London. Think of it as your launchpad to Big Ben, Tower of London, or hotspots like Westminister Cathedral. Stroll west on Celebration Ave, left onto Olympic Park Ave, right onto Westfield Ave, and you're there. It's flat, easy, and Stratford's got signs galore (plus staff if you look like lost puppies).
